The weather is starting to get nicer, and it is the time of year where a lot of homeowners are starting to spruce up their yards and increase the curb appeal of their houses. A new garage door is a great way to make your home look new again.
That being said, a DIY garage door may not be the best option. We’ve all seen it – beautiful houses with an exceptionally vibrant garage door that’s a little unappealing to the eyes, or someone breaking their door in an attempt to fix it. That got us thinking: what are some of the worst garage doors out there? We have put together a list of the top 5 garage fails out there:
5. Crumbles Under the Pressure
Clearly someone didn’t read the install instructions from cover to cover. It’s a shame really, that garage door looks like it could have been really nice!
4. Pretty… in pink?
We’re going to go right ahead and say it… who thought this checkered garage door was a good idea? It’s like a Candyland and a Checker board collided. I mean, kudos to those who did it, they taped the sections really well before painting. What’s worse though: the bright pink, or the checked design? This is an all-around #GarageFail
3. Too Impatient to Wait
Is it really that hard to wait for the garage door opener to open the door all the way? I’m not sure what I feel worse for: the garage door, or the car?
2. The Batcave
I can’t really decide if this is a garage fail or a garage win. I mean, who’s going to try and break into Batman’s house, right? This is either a sophisticated home security system, or a total garage fail.
1. It’s A Bumpy Ride
Those steps have to be rough on the car’s suspension. I’m not really sure who thought of this, and decided this would be a good idea, but it can’t be good on the car. Total garage fail!
I think it’s safe to say that garage door repair, installation, and maintenance should be left to the professionals. We’re going to make sure your door never makes it onto our list of garage door fails.
